red dot and mount for revlover ?

I have a smith and wesson 629 and I am thinking about putting a red dot on it but I want a small one not some a big bulky heavy thing and I dont want a big huge mount on the gun either, is there a red dot out there that can be mounted to the guns factory sight screw hole only without attaching a mount? I want to go this route for many reasons, one is the gun is heavy enough and I want to keep the weight down and I`d like to still be able to use the holster I have without making to much adjustments/alterations to it.

I had a bushnell trophy red dot on my T/C 44 mag and I loved it until it broke, (just after sighting it in.) My friend had a ADCO on his Redhawk 44 mag and it broke. I've heard the Ultra dot holds up and works on 44 mag.

hammerhead I think thats exactly what kind of mount Im lookin for! it isnt too long and ugly lookin, Im lookin at possibly getting the burris fastfire and that mount would work great...thanks

Does the leupold have an on/off switch or just the motion sensor, and how sensitive is the motion sensor, does it turn on only when the gun is raised or will just walking through the woods with gun in the holster activate it too.

It is very sensitive. It turns on literally walking by it if on a table or floor in your house. There is a rubber hood to keep it as dim as possible. I've had mine a while now and haven't replaced the battery. It really is a great site. Here's mine on my 4" GP100.

looks nice on there, just what Im look for, it isnt big and bulky lookin. The Eotechs are good sights too but man they are just huge on a handgun.

Im either gettin the Leuplod like yours or the Burris fast fire, havent decided yet

Bass Pro shop sucks! they didnt have any red dot sights to speak of and hardly any bullets to reload 44 mag with:mad:
Guess will have to make a trip to Des Moines to sportsmans warehouse or scheels

I bought mine used. It was like new and was over $100 less than a new one. Mine is the 7.5 MOA delta reticle. Pin point accuracy can be had using the apex of the triangle like a post reticle or you can use the whole triangle for bigger targets at close distances. A 3.5 MOA dot is the other option but for my uses that is bigger than I like.
