hello all,
I am getting ready to carry my springfield XDs 4 inch and I would like to preferably carry appendix IWB. anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a good holster for that purpose?

G-code INCOG

I carry both my Glocks and my M&Ps in them. Love the holster. I dont like the add on mag pouch. So, i carry the mag in a different pouch.

well due to not receiving a lot of input, I ended up ordering the most comfortable LOOKING holster I can find that specifically fits the XDS 4 inch, and that was a stealthgear AIWB holster. I'll post a review in a few weeks after I've received it and had a chance to test it out.

IWB, OWB, Paddle??????

Needed a bit more info on what you're looking for there.

I carry a 4" 1911.

I have a King Tuk, best IWB I have ever carried.

OWB I use an Askins type.

That's what works for me, and as a plainclothes LEO I carry every day, all day.

Man, I guess this thread got pushed down right away and I didn't see it. I would still recommend the JM Custom Kydex AIWB, George, and Wing holsters. All great options. I have the George for my 19 and it conceals better than any other I've tried.

I have been using a StealthGear IWB holster for my 3.3 inch barrel XDs .45acp for over a year. It is comfortable and has kept my pistol secure. I highly recommend it.

all of that was in the OP.

That's good to hear socialanarchist, nice to get a good review on a fairly similar gun.

I have owned MANY... by far, my favorite manufacturer is TULSTER. He only mades holsters for a somewhat small selection of guns, but that's one of them.

He also ships faster than any other kydex maker I've tried. It's almost always within the same week.

I think he's currently running a 20% off sale with the code SAVE20 as well.

Adjustable cant, perfectly "click" lock in instead of the muddy *shlick* that many kydex holsters have.

No joke, I have his holster for every gun I own which he makes a holster for.

Sorry. Missed that part.

Galco King Tuk has done well for me, and not off the charts cost wise.

I suggest that you not carry that way if you have a pain in your belly in the area of the appendix. That could cause complications.

I have a Springfield Mod 2 4" and I am looking for a holster. Hoping more people will chime in because I could use some suggestions. Thanks

well I got one of the two holsters I ordered. a tulster AIWB holster. I'm still waiting on the stealthgear holster to arrive. the tulster is extremely minimalist being 100% kydex/plastic and only covering the barrel and trigger guard. it's really nice carrying around 10:30 position as a cross draw but I had some discomfort carrying any closer to center and on the right side. it does conceal very nicely, even with the extended drip I almost never print which is always a real concern of mine and a huge drawback to most of my holsters. the issue I have is since there is no padding between the handgun grip and my skin, the texturing on the grip does tend to dig into my stomach(I do have a bit of a gut), but overall I'm pretty happy with it, I definitely recommend one.

as to the new guy, this is more a thread I started because I use a less common variant of the XD-s and not as many holster companies make holsters for the 4 inch models. for your XD sub I think you'll have a much easier time finding a holster. I would recommend looking at the holster if you're thinking cross side IWB but not for strong side. the holster I went with for my XDM compact is a comptac Minotaur, I really like it.

Bladetech Phantoms.

Cheap, reliable, easy to use. Pull-dot is preferable to the klipt.

G-CODE's Incog series is also a joy to use, and what I'd lean towards if you want to spend some coin.
