Recommend pistols in .32 acp caliber

Ive had a keltec p32 for several years now. I dont shoot the crap out of it, and its certainly not the highest quality gun you can buy, but it doesnt jam, fmjs or jhps, and it is surprisingly accurate to surprising distances.

I like my little Beretta Tomcat, but they may be out of production now.

I have been carrying a Keltec P32 since BEFORE they were available to the public. We have 5 of them here. My wife and daughter carry them also.
They are not "low quality," but their construction is different. They are the "Bic pen" of pocket guns- light, inexpensive, thin, and reliable.

There is also the Seecamp & the NAA Guardian. Both are small, but heavy.
As far as used guns, there are hundreds of makers of .32 autos.

Purpose, and price range, new or used would help!:Di

I have a CZ50, and a Walther/Manuhrin PP Both excellent guns, but neither get carried. Bigger, and heavier than modern plastic framed 380's.
I have been intrigued lately by the little Kel-Tec P32. Probably get one some day if the right deal comes along. But I'll stick with my 380 Elsie Pea for deep concealment.

It might be more helpful to list .32 acps that a new shooter should stay away from. Savages and Ortiges are fine guns but not for the new shooter as the safeties are frail and a new shooter would be more likely to have an accident.

Plenty of people on Youtube (and elsewhere) swear by the Hungarian FEG PA-63, a close clone of the Walther PP.

The PA-63 is in .32 Auto, .380 auto or 9x18 Mak, though I suspect that in the US, those in 9x18 are much easier to find.

for a minimalist ccw gun the kel-tec isn't bad in .32acp. I have a Seecamp for that purpose but wouldn't mind having another kel-tec p32. NAA makes a nice Seecamp copy as well.

for the belt, or the house, the no longer made sig p230 would be my choice if I could find one and had the money. the walther pp(s) is another good one. again these are bigger guns best for carry on a belt or for home defense.

32 ACP

For carry, I like the Beretta Tomcat or the KelTec p32.

For fun, I reccomend CZ's Vz 61 Skorpion (I don't have one, but I'd love to find one around here for the right price).

I like my Tomcat. It's a high quality DA/SA mousegun. If you are looking for a purely concealable gun the NAA or the Kel-Tec are better suited as the Beretta is a little chunky. For a shooter look for a PP or the FEG PA-63. Haven't shot one but I would also love to have a CZ-83.

The only .32 acp I have is a 1941 Walther PP that was issued to the SS, which is very accurate, but I don't shoot it all that much for fear of a part breaking on a all matching firearm

I have carried a Kel-Tec P32 with a chrome slide for 15 yrs. It always goes bang when I shoot it. It has never had a failure to fire, but I did the fluff and buff on it anyway. I also carry various .38 spl. snubnose revolvers but I always go back to the P32.

Mine is a CZ 83. A compact, all-steel package holding 16 rounds of .32 Auto, 15 of which are in a double-stack mag. The free recoil energy is less than 40% of that of my CZ 83 chambered in .380 Auto; however, the .32 rarely gets carried, as the .380 is just as compact but slings bullets of a cross-sectional area that are 30% larger with a mag that holds only two fewer rounds.

One day I may gift the .32 to my daughter if she overcomes her hoplophobia. In the meantime it is a sweet range gun and backup HD gun.

I've only had two .32 pistols (& they've been mentioned above already), but can recommend both: Kel Tec P32 and Beretta 3032 Tomcat. For carry, the P32 almost disappears in a pocket and even with its light weight it is a sweet shooter. The Tomcat is a little larger and bumps the limit for dress slacks pocket carry for me, but it is high quality; and the tip up barrel is a neat design.

A Walther PPK/PPKs is on my wish list but I'd likely get it in .380 if I ever get one although James Bond used the .32 version.

I sort of collect these, currently 10 in the safe. The old pocket pistols are fascinating, with some unique actions, and they shoot reliably and accurately. But...they're mostly single action. The afore mentioned Ortgies beat Glock to the punch by about 80 years with a striker fired pistol, but there are safety concerns with those, too. I wouldn't carry one of the old ones for that reason. Lot's of fun, though, and they can be had for reasonable prices.

The "modern" SA/DA guns are reliable and accurate, and safe as long as you pay attention. I have a Walther PP, Mauser HSc and an old CZ-50. Great in SA, the DA triggers are stiff. For less weight and a minimally larger outline, you can carry a modern micro 9. Great fun, though, and a great low recoil gun for someone learning to shoot a bottom feeder.

I do stick a KelTec P32 in my pocket on occasion, usually with some Buffalo Bore 75 gr hardcast. It's a good shooter, and digests a wide range of ammo. You do lose some velocity, of course. The only round I compared over the chrono was Speer GD: 1,020 out of the Mauser, 872 out of the P32. (The BB 75's go 1,031 avg out of the Mauser).
