Am looking for recommendations for a gunsmith in San Antonio, Texas area who can lighten my S&W 642 trigger from 80 lbs to more normal one. Shot only 50 rounds today and thumb and handstill shaking (130 grain FMJ Winchester whitebox). Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks!

James

You can try Nagel's gun shop on San Pedro. I'm not sure if they have a Smith on hand, but can certainly pass along a name or two. Beware of their prices though  ...

Canyon Lake - Burns

B9mmHP suggested Burns. I saw a rifle he made about a year and half ago. It was a .257 Roberts on what looked like a Masuer action. Looked like a deer getting gun. Fit and finish were good. Seemed like a nice guy too.

gunsmith

Deitz gunshop near New Braunfels. That old man has been building benchrest rifles for years and can fix anything.

ten ring

ten ring precision is in san antonio..
alex hamilton...1991 pistolsmith of the year.
suggest you give him a call.

I have used both Tip Burns on 306 and Dietz. Dietz isn't doing a lot of the work now, but most likely supervises well. Have know both a long time.
