Recommend a good AR15 muzzle break?

Have the threads CUT off, and re-crown the barrel.............
THe only way you can use that threaded barrel, is if the brake, is soldered on at 1200 degree's +..............
Plus, if that was not enough of a deterent, the brakes are LOUD...and do not help the rifle or accuracy at all.

Yepper like Shoes stated and Chiz...side slotted brakes and Dirrent and the rest wont be shootin with you no more 
you know where the blast is going.......at who ever is standing to the right or left.

i use comps on my AR 3gun rigs--i started with a clark then went to a Berquist.. The Berquist is one of the more pricey ones but i think they work the Best--never tried the JP one but alot of folks like them, but they just look more funky than the others....just happened to remember i also got one called a Ven Ram- it lokks like a AR flash suppressor but had the end closed up....i don't know how legal it is but i think i'd leave the threads on the barrel and then have the comp welded or silver sordered on...by the time you get it professionally cut-crowned ect and a comp put on you might should have bought a new barrel with the comp already on it....i had a barrel cut like you're talking abut and it never did shoot good but i don't really blame it on anybody--i think was a noname barrel anyway.....As far as noise goes they are all loud...i would get the best one i could and forget about the noise--just wear muffs on top of your ear plugs.....Dick
