Recommend a 22lr Scope for 25 - 200 yard target competition

Exactly as the title says, I'm looking for a scope approximately in the 6-24 X range to put on my 22lr target rifle that I will be using to shoot silhouettes and target competitions from 25 yards to 200 yards.

I would prefer not to spend a fortune, but I do want something of decent quality.

Right now I have my heavy barrel Savage MKII Mako set up with a BSA Sweet 22. As I shoot primarily 50 to 100 yards, I have been achieving excellent results with the Sweet 22. It has consistently held zero from one range session to the next. I have no complaints whatever about it...and I realize that has not been a universal experience.

Nikon ProStaff 4-12x40mm BDC ...around $165 on sale- and Great deal.

Plus the Nikon SpotOn software is just so amazing...

you pick your scope, then pick your round your firing (I used the CCI MiniMag).... then pick your ranging info (So I shoot at a 25 yd indoor range and would like a 100yd zero,) it calculates and says how you need to zero the top of your reticle bar at 1.61" high at 25", for a 100yd zero. then it shows you how each Bullet Drop Compensating reticle-dot will work.

Then I mess around and change to my 4-12x40 Nikoplex reticle ProStaff ( i have both) and change to Minimag's 40gr RN rather than t he 36gr HP, ) and it recalculates everything and shows a new picture of the reticle, itds simply amazing.

I use a Weaver Classic V 4-16x42AO on my silhouette rifle. I chose the fine dot reticle and really like it.

I have a Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40ao on my cz .22lr. Great scope optically, but sometimes I wonder if the reticle could be a little thiner for target work. My club limits to 12x. If I was allowed more power I would get the Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44. Lower $400 or so for that one. Only thing is those bigger scopes start looking ridiculous on .22's.The rimfire guys often like Mueller for a cheaper scope that has an adjustable objective and higher power.

I guess I should have realized this is basically saying, "please recommend what you use on your .22LR rifle" etc. lol.

You can't or won't go wrong with the Nikon ProStaff's just like you won't go wrong with a million others. If I had to redo it I might have just looked at Natchezss.com and bought something on sale. That website has incredible pricing on a wide variety of redonkulous stuff, everytime I play around I wind up with like $500 of ammo and a scope or two and some sort of accessory in my cart.
