A while back I changed out the Recoil Spring in my Pistol, and of course did,nt write down the spring weight ! Anyone know an easy way to measure the spring weight ? Capured Guide Rod. And Yep ! I,m now keeping better records.

You will need a bathroom scale & a wooden dowel rod or round screwdriver that will fit the inside of the spring. Put end of dowel /screwdriver point down on the scale. At the same time began compressing the spring & watch as the scale weight increases. When the spring is close to complete compression mentally note the weight.
