Recoil...Ruger .44 Mag. vs Ruger 357 Mag.?

Hi All,

I'm getting ready to purchase the Ruger SP101 .357 Mag 2 1/4".

How will the recoil compare to my Redhawk .44 Mag 5 1/2"? Please make the comparison as if I was shooting Mag loads from each gun. Thanks.

In my experience, the 2 1/2 nch .357 Mag perceived recoil is just as bad, or worse, than a 5 1/2 inch .44 Magnum.

And with all of that recoil, blast and flash, you will get the same ballistics as a .38 Spec +P in a four inch barrel.
