Recoil reducing stocks?

I have a Mossberg 590. I have seen them before. I like the looks of them. It seems like it would be easier to stay on target. I have a full stock with pistol grip on it now. It is a lillte long for my prefrence. I really dont want anything foldable.
How well do they perform? Who makes them? What price should I expect to pay for one? Do they make collapsible versions?

I put a Knoxx SpecOP stock on my Winchester 12 ga after several shoulder surgeries and nerve damage. I love it. I can shoot about as much as I want to with no pain. Personally, I'd rate them as one of the greatest inventions in modern history.

I can't remember exactly, but it seems I gave around $125. Matter of fact, I mentioned The FiringLine and got a discount from the company! (very easy folks to deal with).

Do a search on Knoxx and you'll probably find everything you ever wanted to know!

I put the Knoxx Spec Ops on my Remington 870 just before taking the Primary Defensive Shotgun course at Tac Pro Shooting Center. Over the course of the 3 day course, I fired over 500 rounds of everything, birdshot, slugs, buckshot, full power and reduced recoil. On the evening of the third day I went dove hunting. No problem. I literally think I could shoot the thing non-stop all day long without any problem at all. A big plus is that the Spec Ops is adjustable pull, so you can adjust it however you want it. I am a big fan.

I see it as a gimmick. I habve never had an ssue with recoil from a 12 gauge, whether it be a 200rd a day trainign session, or a long day of back to back doubles in the dove field. I am not al arge guy at 5'7" 175. Equipment does not take the place of technique and training.

I do see it as a somewhat viable solution for those with physical ailments, as mentioned above.

When I previously shot my 12 gauge a lot (50+ rounds), I would always have a mark or bruise on my shoulder. After my knoxx compstock, I can shoot as much as I want and no damage. I can perceive less recoil as I shoot too. Thus, I think its a good invention since maybe I can shoot faster with less recoil. I use one on a winchester 1300 defender.
