Back in the mid 70's I bought a sporterized rifle in 30-06 cal from a private owner. He said he had some kind of recoil reducer put in the stock. It was a very enjoyable rifle to shoot. Would anyone have an idea what the recoil reducer would have been back in the 70's ??
