Recoil Reducer

I was just wondering if anyone has used these reducers,

and if so, are they any good. I have a Montefeltro 20ga that I was looking at adding one of these to and I wanted to know if it would be worth my time and money.

I've used both mercury, and inerta type reducers shooting many thousands of rounds of trap, both as recreation and ATA competition. They both work, and i can tell little difference between the two, and ive had them installed in more SG's than i can count. What the sale ads dont tell you though is how they redistribute the weight of a given firearm. and the weight difference is more noticible with the mercurys. My experience has been they do make a gun more butt heavy. And another thing to consider, is drilling the stock, all the reducers ive installed require being parallel to the barrel, and as close to inline with the barrel as possible, so check your stock carefully as in some cases you could drill into the mounting bolt area, causing mounting interference. this should be mainly a problem on smaller butt stocks though. Its possible too, the attachment hole in the recoil pad will have to be relocated.

Thanks for the reply, but I need a little more info. If you follow the link and take a look at the info for the one that fits the Montefeltro, it will tell you that the mercury reducer actually screws onto the magazine tube bolt. When you go to the linked page, scroll down to BENELLI AUTOMATICS. There will also be a picture of the unit.
