Recoil Reducer

Has anyone tried one of the "Fits inside the stock" recoil reducers? Some are filled with mercury, some have ball bearings. Do they actually do anything? Are the just adding weight to the gun or are they more complex than that?

Haven't tried one personally, but they work on the same principle as the buffer in an AR15, BAR, or some other weapons, which is: inertia of the stuff it's filled with relative to the movement of the weapon. It takes a certain amount of time to get the loose mass moving in the same direction as the recoil of the weapon. Hope this helps?! BigG
