recoil pad size?

i am going to get a recoil pad for my 12 gauge pardner pump, would it take a small, medium, or large? and would it also depend on the maker? i'm getting one online as my local shop don't have anything. thanks
 
The Pardner is a Remington clone and I know their stocks will fit. I suspect the Rem pads may as well. Another route is the slip on recoil pad from Limbsaver, Kick Eez, etc. I think your buttplate measures 1.650" x 4.950", but measure it.

I have a Pachmayr Decelerator slipon on one of my s/g's and it's nice.
Your lop will increase with any of these.
 
with a slip on pad do i leave my old one on?, or do i take it off and put the new one on? i know the stock will be longer if i leave it on, but will it fit against the hollow part of the synthetic stock good if i take the old one off? thanks
 
The best way to go is get the grind to fit pad and fit it to your stock. I do one a month in my shop and it takes about 20 minutes to fit.
