Recoil control, how do you rate these svc. calibers?

long shot

When fired from same or similar guns, using full power ammo, how would you rate the following: .40/357 sig/9mm/.45/10mm?

Knowing recoil is a subjective issue, I'm curious to see if individual answers differ much.

9mm

.40S&W

.45ACP

10mm
Never fired a .357SIG but I suspect that it would be around the .40 (either right above it or right below it).

Fud, I have fired a few rounds of 125gr GD through a P229, & would qualify it's recoil & muzzle blast as "sharper" than the .40's.

1. 9mm
2. 40
3. 45*
4. 357sig
5. 10mm

*To me the .45 in most pistols seems to recoil a little more than the .40, except when fired from a G-21 or G-30, those are two sweet shootin' .45's.

Best, long shot!

9mm - easiest

.45acp - In 1911's and a S&W 645

.40auto - In a Glock 22, did not like the snappy recoil, also had a stinging feeling to it. But thats just me.

1) 9mm
2) .45ACP
3) .40S&W
4) .357Sig (thunder and lightning in Glock 27 sized pistol))
5) 10mm I have never shot a 10mm so I have to go by reports I have read.

Regards,

Richard
