I am looking to rechamber a revolver cylinder from 22lr to 22 wrm are the reamers the same for rifles as for revolvers? when you ream do you start from one end or do you ream from both sides?You can rent reamers or buy,are rented reamers any good?Any thing else that I should know would be helpfull,thanks walt

When this subject comes up a lot of folks concentrate on how the .002" difference in bullet diameter will cause the gun to blow up and wipe out the county.
Of more concern is that most gun makers used only mild steel for .22 LR barrels, but used hardened steel for .22 WMR to offer better resistance to the higher heat and jacketed bullets of the larger round. At a time when that conversion was pretty common, shooting out a .22 LR barrel could take as few as 200 rounds of .22 WMR.
That is why GURU's advice is good; talk that one over with an expert, don't just buy a reamer.
