Thank-you FirstFreedom it is up around Eriksdale,Manitoba.I think I talked to you before on here?Bought the first 80 in Jan. just picked up the other 80 last
month.Heading up there this sunday for a 4 day wt. hunt.:)

Yes I also take up my 1983 Remington 700 BDL LH 30.06,The day I anchored that buck I was shooting my brand new Browning micro hunter 7mm-08 LH.The wife also shoots a Remington model 7 7mm-08,and the daughter a Winchester model 70 mini carbine .243.

wow, that is REALLY something. Good for you. Thank the good Lord for His blessings to you! Really impressed. I would love to have an elevated stand tucked into the edge of one of the fields for long range target shooting.

WOW!!! Nice spread ya got there! Lots of work I bet but top notch place!
When you are ready to build a log lodge I will be glad to help you!

Thanks guys it's amazing what 16G will get you!I got tired of rushing up to find a spot to hunt on public land, leaving bright and early in the morning and getting there an hour before legal shooting time just to claim your spot, then to have an army of hunters show up and start hunting all around you. So when these two pieces of land came up for sale side by side I thought well its time to go into debt for a while.
We try to get up there twice a month the price of gas $1.36L and it is a hour and a half from home.So $70.00 round trip loaded up with two quads.
A guy I know up there just sold his 480 acres for $50,000.We are allowed to hunt deer, elk (draw basis) grouse, migratory birds, bear, yotes.
We have only had the land for 1 1/2 years cut one trail through the bush going to cut another in fall once the mosquitos die down.

I guess land is so cheap up there because its in the middle of no where its colder than you know what in the winter. Heck 480 acres of decent land where I live would go for more then 1 million dollars. I had a relative that sold 10 acres of commercial land for 2 million bucks. Nice looking property you have up there for sure.

There are ruffed grouse, sharptail grouse, duck, goose and cranes.I am not much of a bird hunter myself I prefer big game deer and elk.I might try for grouse with the .22 as I don't have a shotgun and you can appartently hunt them on your property without a licence.
