So on another thread it was said that the manufacturer can determine what the receiver is built into. I say it is the builder who determines what the receiver is built into. According to law, you can build a "virgin" receiver into either a rifle or a pistol. This goes along the line that you can convert a pistol into a rifle, but not a rifle into a pistol. Some may have reveiwed/seen the case from Thompson (the contender guys). This backs up my claim that only the buyer can determine what a receiver can be built into.
