Got this idea from a guy on AK-47.net. I think it is a great thought. What do you guys think?

"A rash of FFL dealer "burglaries" in which NO guns or other merchandise, or money, is taken, but instead the transaction forms "go missing," or else suffer from a mysterious case of spontaneous combustion that thankfully spares the rest of the store. Or perhaps (more dramatic, but also much more dangerous), masked men (presumably armed) burst in during business hours, not to rob or otherwise harm the business or customers, but merely to "liberate" the records."

Done on a wide enough scale, this could really throw a wooden shoe in the works.
And of course, this would be completely outside of the control of the poor unfortunate dealers so stricken, so they couldn't be held accountable (and if the ATF tried, well, then other actions might be called for).

Just my little excercise in thoughtcrime.

"As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression.
In both instances there is a twilight when everything remains
seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all
must be most aware of change in the air - however slight -
lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness."
--Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas

The forms are federal documents and are the property of the federal government. So planning this in a public forum could be construed as conspiracy to destroy federal property. Be careful.

Also, what would stop the ATF from just suspending the dealers' licenses for failure to maintain the legally required paperwork? We have already seen that this is an agency that can and will active outside of ethical and legal boundaries when they see an advantage. Boston Tea Party activities won't make these folks leave us alone.

Don't do anything illegal! Besides it would be a good excuse for licensing gun owners since they wouldn't be able to track them the old fasioned way. It would make things worse in my opinion.

Shok

In addition to the above, such acts would involve false police reports and probably perjury.

Though I understand your sincere desire to thwart what many consider to be unconstitutional but "legal" acts, we can not support illegal actions.

This thread, therefore, is closed.
