rebarreling a 1903

I was wondering if anyone knows of any smithy's that will rebarrel a 30-06 springfield 1903. Thanks.

What kind of barrel do you want installed? New sporter or original USGI?

I'd like to get another original

I doubt you can find an unused replacement barrel, so an original would almost certainly be a takeoff barrel and that could mean headspace problems. A good gunsmith (paid enough money) can remove the sights from the original barrel, put on a properly turned sporter barrel, then replace the sights so it will look original.
