Rebarrel

I just ordered a new barrel for my rem 700 it won't be in for a couple months, which gives me some time to shop around for some one to install it. I would appreciate your opinions on a goo place to send the gun to be re barreled and accurized. thanks J

The normal way to do this is first find some one you want to do the job and send the gun to him. Two reasons One is he buys barrels in large numbers so the barrel maker will fill his order before he fills yours. You still have the right to request what barrel you want and with the exception of a maker the installer has had trouble with and would feel you are making a mistake. He may then generally will install it if you insist but will not stand behind performance. If I was picking a installer I would search out a mechanic that does Bench Rest work for the big boys
