Disagreeing with their views (which I happen to consider more than a little out there) is one thing and does not make you a bigot. Generating a new topic, cutting and pasting articles that are biased against them, and then questioning why anyone would buy a product from them could constitute bigotry or at a minimum a bias against them. What is your motivation for this topic? Are you trying to keep us informed or testing the waters for a boycott? If the former, why? Who cares who makes them?

The original thread has been closed, but I wanted to briefly answer the question above. I made the post only to inform the other members. I did not question why anyone would buy a product from them-- I simply stated I would think twice about it. I also DO NOT intend nor want to start any kind of boycott. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and beliefs. Most people do not care who owns the company, which is fine, and a few do care. Either way, make your own decision, just be informed.

Besides, what's wrong with a good debate?

I have never seen the moonie/kahr connection posted before, and thought it was interesting. Fact is stanger than fiction. I apologize if it is old news.

Pretty old news. American Handgunner wrote something about this months ago, and it was mentioned again in reports when Kahr bought out Auto Ordnance.

Why would you think twice about buying a Kahr? AFAIK, Kahr doesn't do anything detrimental to the Second Amendment, while Donald Zilkha (head of Colt) and his family make campaign contributions to Charles "Satan" Schumer. And "Brady Bill" Ruger is in favor only of the right to keep and bear guns made by his company.

masshooter.... There is NOTHING wrong with a debate. However, at times it seems as if some do not enjoy debates.

If Satan came out with a recoilless .45 ACP with a 10 round mag that shot 25 times and grouped in 1/2" at 200 meters for $49.95, he would have a line of buyers.

Some might have second thoughts, though.

Lavan,

I'd buy in a New York minute if I were assured I could use it to dispacth the evil one himself. ;)

massshooter and others, I have absolutely no problem with good debates. However, the original thread was turning into a discussion of bigotry which I do have a problem with. I also have no problem with you reopening this to continue a legitimate debate, but since it really concerns the ownership of a company and not necessarily the handguns that company makes, I am going to move it to the General Discussion forum. Look for it there....
