rear sight issue Berretta FS

I marred up my rear sight on my FS while trying to drift it over on the range, trying to refinish it somewhat, will it take bluing? any other ideas appriciated. ( beside the obvious: use a proper sight in tool).
 
I tried that and some flat black oven spray paint. The paint worked the best but I don't think it will hold up to a cleaning.
 
Beretta's Bruniton finish is essentially a baked-on enamel over Parkerizing. It might be easiest to simply order a replacement sight.
 
I was looking into the Factory adjustable rear so I can sight it in the way I want to but the thing looks to be a little oversize for carry.
