P puppyface New member Dec 19, 2014 #1 I marred up my rear sight on my FS while trying to drift it over on the range, trying to refinish it somewhat, will it take bluing? any other ideas appriciated. ( beside the obvious: use a proper sight in tool).

P puppyface New member Dec 19, 2014 #3 I tried that and some flat black oven spray paint. The paint worked the best but I don't think it will hold up to a cleaning.

D dsk New member Dec 19, 2014 #6 Beretta's Bruniton finish is essentially a baked-on enamel over Parkerizing. It might be easiest to simply order a replacement sight.
