Must have been a direct hit to the central nervous system. Lucky guy. He would've gotten himself dismembered if he had only winged the beast.
 
I'm not wondering about this feat. 12 years ago, two farmers
absolutely had to do away with a few wild boars. They didn't have
hunting rifles so they took .22 lr bolt actions.

However, they were good marksmen and killed the 3 hogs with less than
ten bullets.
