I just purchased a hicap mag for an EAA Witness in 9mm. How can I tell if the mag is really factory or if it is an imitation?

The mags have no markings to speak of.
EAA says they do not mark mags. They pull off the trafalgio (sp?) base plate and put on a plain one.
At gunshows the real mags go for $60.00. I paid $25.00 over the internet. Should have known better.
Of the four I just purchased, three seem to function and one will not hold the slide back. Oh well. Beware!
