REAL Hunting Haikus

I liked the thread hijack so much I thought I'd start a thread for REAL hunting haikus. Poems about the hunt. Haiku's are a simple format. If you've never written a poem before, this is one of the best to start with

5 syllables
7 syllables
5 syllables

Try to tell a whole store using poetic language. "Turdy point buck" is the kind of poetic language I'm looking for (see below).

Here's what we have so far.

leaves crunch under hoof
onto the green field to feed
da' turdy point buck

-Rebeldon

sun sparkles through trees
he walks through forest, i lift
my gun. down he falls
-gray pilgrim

i see the falcon
eyes sharp ears alert, hunting
a kindred spirit
-gray pilgrim

Gray clouds scudding low
Spitting sleet and cold rain. Ducks
Flare, then fall, warmly.

Gimmee something about varmiting, upland, bow hunting, your favorite hunting memory, etc.
 
Mid-Summer Texas
Too hot to think of hunting. . .
Was that a dove bird?!?
