re-chambering camp 9 to 357 sig

Do you think that it is ok to do this?

I think it would be a lot better than a 9mm, but I am not sure that the springs would be ok ...as it is a blow back.

Any thoughts?

Bad idea. .357 Sig and .40 generate MUCH more blowback force than a 9mm. The Camp 9 is, if anything, undersprung and will function with reduced power loads that won't cycle any pistol.

Plus, these guns aren't made anymore, so when the experiment fails you've ruined a nice gun and may not be able to fix it.

Anyhow, if you feel like hotrodding, 9mm subgun ammo is about as hot .357 Sig. So you can destroy your rifle without first rechambering it. :)

Seems like a waste...other than scientific curiousity

Upgrade the springs and run hotter 9mm ammo..you will get similar results

I had one for a while and it ran better with hotter ammo

Brownells has the buffers...wolff has springs

Unanimously...Bad Idea.

Well I appreciate the response.

I had been toying with the Idea for a few years and had just about decided it was a good one.

Glad I asked ya'll.
