Ranges in Nor-Cal??

Hey everyone in California. I want to compile a list of all the ranges in Northern Cal. I am interested in official and non-official ranges. If possible, please give city,basic directions and phone number. You can eather post it here or e-mail me.

Four or five years ago I bought a little book with info on most of the Sac area ranges. I'll see if I can find it.

Here's some stuff off the top of my head.

The Range
Grass Valley

Cordova Shooting Center
Just off of Sunrise by Mather AFB

Sacramento Valley Shooting Center
15501 Meiss Rd.
Sloughouse, Ca.

Lincoln Shooting Club. Its mostly a private range although there are public hours on occasion.

Auburn has a trap club.

Yolo Sportsmans

There is a trap range just off 80 by Hagen (?) Oaks Golf course

There is an indoor range in Yuba City.

There is another indoor range in Chico (Safer Arms?)


Please post your list after you get it put together. I'd be particularly interested in any informal shooting areas in the foothills you identify.

Have you thought about including hunting and shooting stores too?

Weird and limited hours, but indoors and a nice place to shoot. I'm sure there's more then a few anti's who would have a heart attack if they knew that place existed.

I've also been to one out in the boon docks near Beale AFB (Camp Far West), but I can't remember how to get out there. Anybody know?

Club hosts Highpower Rifle events, Black Powder shoots, Cowboy Action, Round Robin Shotgun, etc. Must be NRA member to Join.

Ukiah is on Hwy 101 about 100 miles N of SF.

http://richmondhotshots.com/ for information on the Richmond Rod and Gun Club facility, the home of some of the best shooters in the SF Bay area

There are also ranges in Livermore, San Leandro (a bit sad) and Sunnyvale as well as the indoor range at the TargetMasters shop in Milpitas.

Quite a collection for an anti-gun neighborhood, eh?
