I FINALLY made it to the range today to shoot my new AK-47. I bought a Romanian AK-47 from Classic Arms a few months ago. I took it to the range and fired 200 rounds through it. The gun and all 4 magazines functioned perfectly. I zeroed at 50 yards. My first 3 shot group was barely on the cardboard, let alone the target. It was high and left. I had purchased a site adjustment tool so I was able to adjust the front sight to bring the rounds down and right. It took 5 more, 3 shot groups until I was happy. After that I pretty much shot up the center of the target. I had my share of fliers, but I was shooting from a sitting position at a bench with my range bag for support. The day was perfect, sunny, mid 70's with a 5 mph breeze. The AK was fun to shoot. Recoil was mild and rifle felt good in my hands. What a blast!
