I got to the range today and took my new Lucid HD7 red dot scope. It sits on top of my M&P15 Sport. This was my first time shooting with it. I had zeroed my iron sights a while ago so, at home, before the range session, I attached the Lucid and then used my iron sights to adjusted the red dot so it sat on the very tip of my front sight post. That's the best I could do at home. At the range I shot a 3 shot group. The group was a tad left and about 3 inches high at 50 yards. A few simple adjustments on the knobs and I was in business. I was very happy with the noticeable "clicks" on the adjustment knobs. After a few groups, I was dead on and then I just blasted the center. I flipped through the reticles to see how I shot with them and was happy to find that the zero didn't move as I tried the various reticles. I should also mention that I was shooting from a covered area out into direct sunlight. So I turned off the "auto brightness" feature and increased the brightness to my liking. It worked very well and allowed a bright dot on the target. All in all, a great day and I'm very impressed with the feel and function of the Lucid HD7.
