Range Report on Bersa Thunder 380 Concealed Carry

Shot 180 rounds. 50 PMC Bronze, 50 Remington and 80 handloads. I'm thinking the PMC and Rems were 95 grains FMJ and the handloads were 100 grains plated on top of 2.7 titegroup. Anyway all 180 ran without any kind of glitch. No stove pipes, no FTE or FTF. Really ran well. The accuracy was also very good. I shot 4-5 inch groups at 7 yards. I'm sure the gun will do better in the hands of a better shot. I ran the Bersa along side my Sig P238 and the felt recoil was similar. I really like the features. Saftey that acts as a decocker. Very obvious loaded chamber indicator. Doesn't fire without the mag in the gun. DA is a long but smooth pull. SA is short and sweet. Has a built in safetly lock that uses a little "key." Don't know that I'll ever use it but it's nice that it's there. This concealed carry model has that "bar of soap" look with all rounded smooth corners. Only came with one 8 round mag. Can get second mag from Bersa for about $30. I paid $280 at a gun show which was $29 less than what they were asking. And best of all the gun fits in the "pocket" of my Duluth vest, which was not designed for CC. This is a sweet little gun. It's hard to find negative reviews on line or in person. When I picked it up the guy at the counter comment on how much he liked his Bersa and the gal running the range today did so as well. Sorry I don't have pics. I'll fix that in a future post. If you are looking for a 380 CC gun. This is a great choice.

ive owned a few Bersa 380s in my time, they were great guns. the only gripe I have about "today's" Bersa is the built in lock.

I had a Thunder CC a few years ago, ran great. I currently have a Thunder Duotone. I like the roundness of the CC, however I like the sights on my current model better. Both great guns at a low prices. Mine currently rides in a remora on my hip.

I used to carry a Bersa Thunder 380 and was pleased with it. Never had a problem with it. I only quit carrying it because I wanted to stick to guns with the same manual of arms, especially the safety/decocker.

I've owned several Bersa Thunder 380's including a CC model. I never had a problem with any of them. They always seem to end up as trade bait for something else I want. Maybe it's because they are readily available and inexpensive and I know that I can always find another one. Or maybe it's because I own a couple of 9mm pistols that are smaller and lighter. At any rate I will probably end up with another one. I really do like the CC model.
