Range Report Loaded Operator

Well I finally got to shoot it last night. And WOW what a gun very accurate at 50ft all in the Black I shot about 125 rounds thru it and had zero problems. I love this gun. :D Now I cant wait to get my black grips I ordered to replace the stock wood ones.

I've never owned a Springfield but I seem to like the Loaded Operator alot. I think the model is PX9105L. Handled real nice from several times I got to check it out at the local shop. Front strap doesn't have the extreme checkering like the TRP Operator, which imho feels better for me.

Some shops sell it with the M3 light and some don't have the M3 light but cheaper by $75.

I wonder how abrasive the light rail raised-notches under the dust cover will be on a holster when used in competition. Although, I only for that Blade-Tech as a holster for it.

Gotta save up for one.

Now why would you want to replace those beautiful wood grips with black plastic?

Oh... To match the flashlight rail.
Just seems a bit out of place on a 1911...
But knowing Springfield - it should be a good 'operator!' :D
 
Hey .45,

You need some 3M textured tape on that front strap--head to the local Lowe's or Home Depot.
 
I am not replacing them with Plastic grips they are going to be either Black wood or rubber I will post pic when they arrive..
Yes I thought about the tape on the front strap but I shot great without it and dont think I will add that.. :cool:
 
Nice weapon!

I really considered getting one except that I have no idea of who might make a holster for one. It would be nice if they made a smooth cover to mount on the mounting rails for times when you don't have a flashlight affixed. That would protect the rails and ease in drawing the weapon. I would think the rails would be hell on a non synthetic holster.

Have fun rying to find a holster for it. That has a much different profile than eanything else. Good luck, nice weapon. :cool:
