I took my 25-yr old son to the range today for his first shooting experience and hopefully he is hooked. I took the following to the range for him to shoot: 1) 6" GP-100 .357 Magnum, 2) FNP 9mm, 3) Bersa Plus .380, and a Ruger Redhawk .44 Magnum (only shooting .44 Specials today). For a first-timer he did OK with the semi's. We were shooting a TSA target at 30'. He was great with the .357 Magnum (shooting 125g fmj's). His first five shots resulted in a group to be proud of-unfortunately I didn't have my camera for the proof. He did better than I did with the .357. Then we shot my Ruger RH 7 1/2" .44 Magnum only using .44 Specials for his first time. He shot just as well with this revolver as he did the .357. His favorite was the GP-100 .357 Magnum. I took the last 5 shots of the day with the RH .44 Magnum-here are the photos-best group I ever shot. I told my son the pistols on our next range visit would be a snubbie .357, 4" .357, .44 Magnum, .45 Colt, and .454 Casull-he shook his head and laughed.
