To many guns to bring to the range!
Most of the time now I only bring 1-2 handguns, and 2-400 rounds of ammo, safty glasses, ear muffs, marking pen/sharpee and targets under my arm, I have all in an aluminum multi gun case, I use to bring 5-6 hand guns and ammo, but I found out that If you want to shoot well it Is better to use only one or tops two guns, each gun feels and works like no other, each trigger is differant. I also try to stay with one size/cal. of ammo so that the feel Is not to far off. This I found works well for me, other wise whatever floats your boat! I'm pretty new to this blog, and I find that some people use the same terms for differant things and likewise differant terms for the same things, case in point, magazines and clips! there are magazines and there are clips, they are two differant items, one has 2-3 sides were the other has 5 sides, there is also a magazine well, and for the most part, the magazine well is part of the weapon, that the magazine is genarely inserted Into as the butt of a Colt1911, the magazine Is inserted Into the magazine well, A clip on the other hand Is generaldly used to insert the ammo into the magazine as with stripper clip that is used to charge the magazine as on a M15-16, or the stripper clip would be used to charge the magazine on a 1903 springfield or Endfield rifle, the M1 Garand also uses a clip that stays In the magazine well untill after the last round is fired then It's bounced out! I have seen In an NRA hand book some time back, they had them listed together, saying that they were the same! and they were dead wrong at that time, I don't know if they ever corected that. Now I well know that this will rub someone the wrong way and It will just open another can of worms, but I think If we see something that is wrong we should say so for the younger people comming on board and just learning about guns and the shooting sport, I'm sorry about the bad spelling, that i'm not to good at. Semper FI to all. Hank D.
