Has anyone shot at the range at the Buckeye Hills Recreation Area SW of Phoenix? I drove by there yesterday while on my way down Highway 85 but there was some sort of training group there and did not want to wander around and disturb them.
From what I saw it seemed on the smaller side (at least compared to Ben Avery, which makes everything look small), maybe 40 yards wide and I could not tell what shooting distances were. Are target stands available? Is it open on weekends? Does it ever get really busy? Is it often reserved for training or club usage? You get the idea. Any info would be appreciated, I have not yet called Maricopa Parks and Rec to ask these questions.
