Are there any other models of shotgun other than the win. 97/copies and the stevens 520 , that lack a disconnect/interuptor allowing them to slam fire?

Older Ithaca '37's, Original Model 12 Winchesters...

Not that being able to shoot that way is any advantage, IMHO. I've shot quite a few pepper-poppers in competition, and always did better shooting with an 870.

I don't think on modern arms...
Actually, I think they could be used against you by BATFE as it fires multiple rounds with one pull of the trigger:confused:

Would it be possible to convert a regular norinco 97 to the trench gun variant by adding the heat shield and sling swivels??

I don't think so, since the pumping action would be considered "pulling the trigger" for those purposes. The BATFE considers hand crank guns (like an old Gatling reproduction) as being legal, because you have to move the crank to fire every shot. I'd think the disconnectorless shotguns would be similar.

Techno, That sounds logical but you can't accuse the atf of logic. The action of cycling automatically is not the writing of the BATFE definition regarding the one pull of the trigger and thus it is irrelevant to them if they ever wanted to prosecute on the federal level with only that definition as eveidence, they would surely win.

Dang if that ain't true.

Still, though, that feature/capability has been around for quite some time; we aren't talking something that popped up in the last few years and isn't all that widespread yet. To my knowledge, they've never acted on it (while they have indeed done so on other devices).

"it fires multiple rounds with one pull of the trigger"

How many Model 12s have you actually shot? I've never shot one that would fire more than one round if you pulled the trigger.

The rest of the if this, if that stuff is silly without facts to back it up.

The feature you're talking about is not that important.

Most folks fill up the mag when they get it, fire it off and do not repeat the experience.

Accuracy is vile.
