I am getting ready to purchase a "synthetic" stock and have discovered that there is one heck of a lot of difference in price between a fiberglass stock and a molded stock. Has anyone had any experience using the Ram Line on a centerfire rifle such as a .308?
 
I used to work for Ram Line in Wisconsin and I ran the injection molding for stocks, all I can say is they are tested and to me they are well worth using.
I would not hesitate to use one on a 308.

Kingman, AZ?!?! That must be a heck of a culture shock from Wisconsin. I had a gunsmith today tell me that the synthetic stocks, he didn't mention brands, were much to flexible for accuracy. What does the action actually sit against in a Ram Line?
 
Your gunsmith is talking thur his hat ( thats nicer than saying he is blowing smoke out his a**) A well fittted synthetic can be every bit as accurate as wood.
 
I have to agree with RJAY.
I have used synthetic stocks on my '06 and was real pleased with accuracy.
Yes the culture shock was great but the lack of snow is even better, I have 'yotes and such to hunt here and lots or public land (BLM) to hunt on.
In WI. there was little public land and then it was crowded or at least where I was.............
 
Hey Buzzard, as a former Arizona resident and soon to be again,, you are in God's country. I don't have a Ram Line rifle stock, but I do have one on a Rem870 and it works fine. There are other synthetics that are better looking, bu the Ram Line works fine and the price is great. Yes, I totally agree that the Gsmith is blowing it out his a$$.
 
I have used Ramline and other less expensive synthetic stocks, if you want to be really happy get one by a company like H.S. Precision, it is a totally different type of animal.
