Rain all day here, so I went to my favorite gun shop to kill some time. Ended up finding a really nice S&W 422 .22 pistol. I always liked these but never owned one. I do now.
 
Wow great looking 422. They stopped making them in '96, yours looks like its in excellent condition. Happy plinking.
 
I just took a mint 6”, 422 on a trade. They are really nice field carry pistols. I carry a 4” when stream fishing. I have a set of black plastic grips off a fixed sight model on it to save original S&W wood Target grips. They take same magazines as M41. I ran through a couple dozen pistols looking for 22 that was small, light and accurate enough to be practical. It ain’t no M41 but they beat anything on a 32 frame and the various 2/3 scale
1911 copies.
