rail light question

I'm pretty much set on picking up a Picatinny rail light for my 870.

What I am up in the air on are the options for the rail.

The two that have caught my eye are:

The Sidearmor rail which bolts to the barrel

Or the Surefire system which replaces the entire forearm

Does anyone have any direct experience or feedback?

Thanks!

If you are just going to mount a light - and maybe a laser - I would go with the barrel mount. The forearm setup looks a little too "busy" for my taste and weighting down the forearm will slow down your ability to rack the action.

I haven't used the barrel-clamp Picatinnys, but I have used the Surefire. It is =beautifully= machined. Each little row of the Picatinny is numbered on the Surefire too. (The numbers are engraved and inked in white.)

You kinda have to use a vertical foregrip with the Surefire. Personally I liked the feel of it on my Mossberg with the regular shoulder stock for shooting at things in front of me and in the air. (The regular pump grip just didn't really suit me all too well.)
