raging bull problems

I have a raging bull in 454. It has developed a problem I haven't seen before in my other revolvers. I can't pull the hammer unless I apply pressure to the trigger a bit; still works but it's annoying. Any suggestions? I understand taurus is a pain to work with when it comes to warranty work.

I know youll get alot of we told ya so's on this subject. I own 2 Raging Bulls in 454 and they have performed flawlessly. I have heard horror stories on all of the manufacturers but I think that for the most part it shouldnt be a problem. My local gunsmith has had no problems dealing with Taurus, I would give them a call and see what they say at least.
Keep us posted on what happens and what the problem is so I know if I need to look out for it.

Sounds like something binding, possibly the hammer binding on the rebound slide; pulling the trigger moves the slide and allows the hammer to cock.

Most Taurus revolvers seem to be OK, but quite a few (too many!) have problems from the factory that indicate poor quality control. They are cheaper than S&W, but the overall quality is just not there.

thanks for the replies. I've already gotten the i told you so-wink-wink from my brothers-in-law:rolleyes: . I was hoping someone had an easy for dummies fix so I could tweek it and show the naysayers up--oh well. I hadn't thought about using my local gun store; good suggestion! Jim, it sounds like you've got handle on the problem. the fix though, is outta my league; so off to the gun store I go. Thanks
