Questions regarding a WW2 Radom pistol SN G0XXX ( 2nd series):
-- what is the approx. date of production ?
-- what type of grip(s) is correct for this pistol ?
-- Where was this pistol manufactured ?
Many thanks in advance for your input !

I think this will answer most of your questions.

The Radom was made from 1935 through almost to the end of the war, with tooling shipped from Radom to Steyr as Poland was "liberated" (exchanged one conqueror for another). The barrel making tooling had already been shipped to Steyr right after the Germans conquered Poland, as the Germans (with good reason) did not trust the Poles to make the complete pistol.

There are (finally!) some good books on the Radom and I strongly recommend getting one of them.

Only ever seen plastic grips on 'em. Gunparts lists only repros in black but with a large or small screw. $40.80 a set.
Germans stopped making 'em in 1941. Too busy getting ready to invade Russia.
Radom's have gotten to be big time collector pieces. Legacy Collectibles in PA list a bunch starting at $1250 and going to roughly $4500. So which one you have(by the markings) matters.

The original Radom grips were a nicely made black plastic. About the time of the invasion they changed to a dark brown plastic that remained until late in the war, when they changed first to a cheap-looking light brown plastic. Then came the wood grips with the curved grooves and last what appears to be pressed paper. The first grip screw setup used bushings like the 1911, then sometime in the wood grip era the screws were changed to a two diameter type and the bushings eliminated. (Bushings make a more complicated setup, but if a ham-handed user strips the grip screw threads, the replaceable bushing is ruined, not the whole frame.)
