This is a very interesting web page where certain cities radio stations are running ads on [COA is a non-profit organization that has created and is coordinating an ongoing national pro-firearms rights, pro-self-defense rights media campaign]

I’ve been listening to a station out of North Carolina
called the Johnboy and Billy Big Show.
They get a little dumb once and a while but most of the time
it’s a great show. Lately they have been letting Pres Klingon
have it for some of the things he said as far as guns and the like.
BTW the show covers a large number of states so a lot of people
got to hear what they said.

I'm glad you broached the subject of "gun
friendly" radio stations. I am in that
business. I host a daily talk show in the
market where I live.I also host the most
listened to "general interest" outdoor radio
program in the U.S. Until a month ago,
I hosted a third program which was heard in
fifty markets around the country.

It is that last program I'd like to address.
For 4 1/2 years I produced and hosted a
program which was as gun friendly as any
you'll ever hear. We had virtually all of
the important manufacturers on the show.

If it went "bang" they appeared on my pro-
gram.

Now, to the point. Would you care to guess
how many firearms manufacturers supported
our show with advertising dollars?

Exactly ZERO! We approached them. But they
were locked into print. Radio was an
unknown to them, and they were unwilling
take a chance. It wasn't a problem with
the quality of the show. There are folks
on TFL who can verify we had an excellent
show.

I guess my point is, with few exceptions,
the firearms industry does not support
radio. Interestingly, as you have pointed
out, radio certainly appears to support
the firearms industry.

In Oregon (Portland Area), I recommend 800 am and 93.7 fm. They are the same company, and have run COA ads in the past.
