I purchased a Radical Arms .300 BO AR pistol with an 8.5" barrel before Christmas but have been too tied up to get it to the range. I also wanted to get some decent irons on it and a good quality red dot. I figured it was a steal for under $600 delivered.
Today I got it out and went to work with it for the first time. The accuracy was ok. I was shooting 4-5" groups with 45 degree offset irons at 100 meters. This with Ozark Factory ammo 147gr. There were no malfunctions until round 25 when the bolt seized and locked up. The bolt has somehow spun in the chamber and is out of alignment with the star chamber with the cams locked behind the lands of the chamber. I can honestly say in more than 30 years of shooting AR's with 10s of thousands of rounds I have never seen this before.
Now that the ATF has reversed itself and declared the Sig Brace a no-go for shoulder firing Radical has dropped the AR pistol from it's line. I tried contacting Radical and their Email contact program does not support my Email. I tried calling their shop and I get a voicemail that says their mailbox is completely full and they are not taking messages. I am going to run it down to the gunsmith tomorrow and see what they can do for it.
