Just got the R&D 45 Colt cylinder in today. Drop in fit in the 1851 Navy
44 sheriffs model Pietta. Action like butter. The Goex factory 45 Colt Black
Powder load does fit OK. Ready to rock & roll now!!!

Gotta agree with Dino! :) You know, I never knew that the '60 conversion cylinder would fit on these .44 quasi-'51s. Thanks for the info! The gun really does look great, and I'm sure it's going to be a hoot.

Darn it, now I want one of those, too! :o

Great Information

A lot of people are going to appreciate this information. I like the little piece, it's cool. It's a smaller piece but it's still got a big boom-boom, yeah?

The Howell is a five shot cylinder. There are ten bolt cutouts. That is so you
can load all five chambers and let the hammer down between chambers and
a bolt cutout will hold it. Very nice and safe.

why not kirst with loading gate

I there some reason most guys on this fourm by r&d conversion cylinders instead of kirst ? I like the krist konverter with loading gate, like josey wales.

Kirst

I really like the Kirst Konverter, the Civil War model. Jay Strite has bases a lot of his reputation on fitting it and generally working with that piece of coolness. If I ever get one for the Remmie, (the Remmie on backorder), I will send it to Jay for sure.

I sure hope we get a report from the range on your new Colt Sheriff throwing LC downrange.

Gotta rate this post now

Made that a real purdy piece of 'Coltflesh', huh ? Make's me want one like it.
Didn't know 'till this post that it would work, many thanks !
