Converted to percussion.

It's another one that's been there, and done that.

Do you think it's even worth the $75 they are asking for it? It appears to still have a load in the barrel.

It's missing a good chunk of the nose cap and it looks as if the barrel was shortened from behind the bayonet lug. It's been rode hard and put up wet but it's worth 75.00.
 
I should have posted this before but this is an 1808 nose as it should look.

Huh, that is quite a bit missing indeed.

Also, what happened to the swing swivel on the middle band? I don't even see a hole in the band in my picture. What's up with that?

And while I'm at it, what is the black stuff all over the wood stock?

It's a different band.

Dunno what it is on the pics you posted but it looks like it got hot enough to scorch and blister the finish in places. On the pic I posted it's varnish.
