Remember the song in that movie "Oliver?" "I think I'd better think it out again." I have been thinking of replacing my Makarov 9X18 with another gun. Reading all the posts on this forum and others--trying to decide just what would be the "perfect" firearm. Well--I decided. After an ungodly amount of powder burned in the Mak and my PA63s, I've gotten to were I can pretty well call my shots out to thirty yards. Like Will Sonnet used to say--"No brag-just fact." I like to have the range to myself because I can practice "snatching" the pistol off the shooting table and snapping off rounds like an "oh s***" situation. I have a "rebuild kit" for the Mak, and with care, that pistol will outlast me. Ammo is "reasonable," and with the proper loading, will pretty much handle any "situation." Years ago "they" made me memorize: "(It) is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know it is the hits that count. We will hit...." So I will keep reading your posts and dreaming of that "perfect gun," and pracitice, practice, practice, with this Mak and the PA63s. Thanks for helping me make up my mind guys (and "dolls.")
