Quiet Barrels?

I think of suppressors normally being an attachment to a barrel. Would a complete, one piece barrel, built from the ground up to be quiet still be an NFA item? It would not be an attachment.

Yes it would, and they are readily available from companies like LRM and Advanced Armament.
From United States Code 921:
"The terms `firearm silencer' and `firearm muffler' mean any device for silencing, muffling, or diminishing the report of a portable firearm, including any combination of parts, designed or redesigned, and intended for use in assembling or fabricating a firearm silencer or firearm muffler, and any part intended only foruse in such assembly or fabrication."
It matters not how the device works or whether it is an "attachment" or not. The only thing the law concerns itself with is that the device's intended use is to
diminish the report of a portable firearm
.

Waverunner, first-off, dont post the same question in more than one thread. That is like spamming. To answer your question, any 9mm suppressor will work on your weapon provided you can find a way to get an extended barrel and thread it or have an adapter made.
