Quick detach or thumb screw?

Going to mount a red dot scope (Kobra) on my AR-15 flat top 16 inch barrel what would be better the quick detach or thumb screw mount?
Will want to take scope off to use iron sights every once in a while.

Purists would never have QD, especially on a sniper rifle. I'm no purists and like the ancient Romans, I'd like to take the pragmatic approach. Since you'll be taking the scope off every now and then, go QD. I did with my Remington 700 LTR (yes, I sinned).
