Serial No is 570-986**. What is the approx Mfg date?

Also, my cylinder gap is from .003 to .006 (.003 endshake). Is this about average?

What are some of the best lubes to use on the trigger internals?

Thanks

No clue on the serial number... as far as I have read, here, your gap is pretty damn near perfect and I use Breakfree CLP on the internals....and good gun grease on the trigger parts. Thats about it..shoot well

re. Manufacture Date:

You can find out by calling Ruger Records Department 603-863-3300 Mon.-Fri.; 8:00am-4:30pm ET. You will need your full serial number.

Per the chart in Ruger & His Guns: A History of the Man, the Company and Their Firearms by R.L. Wilson, it looks like the your SP101 was made around the end of 1992.
