Questions about KY CCW laws

I'm driving out there from VA tomorrow. Concerning carry in a restaraunt, this is what I found on Packing.org...

"Any portion of an establishment licensed to dispense beer or alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises, which portion of the establishment is primarily devoted to that purpose;"

So I take it to mean carry in the restaraunt section is ok, but not the bar?

Any other laws I should know...

Correct. As far as additional laws, you may want to know this one in case you go somewhere that has "no firearms on premises" posted.

A firearm or other deadly weapon shall not be deemed concealed on or about the person if it is located in a glove compartment, regularly installed in a motor vehicle by its manufacturer, regardless of whether said compartment is locked, unlocked, or does not have a locking mechanism. No person or organization, public or private, shall prohibit a person from keeping a firearm or ammunition, or both, or other deadly weapon in a glove compartment of a vehicle in accordance with the provisions of this subsection....

[AND]

...Kentucky has no special restrictions on firearms when in transit and affords the same right to carry OPENLY or in the glove box (WITHOUT a permit) to anyone who's in the state, not just our citizens.

Ok, that makes sense.

One other question, I'm going to a HS graduation ceremony that may be held off school property. As I understand the law, it's illegal (and a felony) to carry where school functions are being held. Now what if I left it in my car in the parking lot?

This may be too late but,

It is only unlawful to bring a firearm on school property. A school function off school property is not school property. You may lawfully leave your firearm in the car on school property so long as you do not brandish it or display it.
