1) How did Browning end up making his guns in Belgium?

2) Was the High Power ever chambered in .45 ACP?

3) Did the Browning Company ever produce .45 ACPs?

Other than models and a single-shot rifle Browning did not make any guns. He licensed his designs- sometimes he sold them outright- to Colt, Winchester, Remington and Fabrique Nationale (Belgium). His orginal contract with FN was in 1898 for a .32 ACP pistol that became the FN Model 1902.

I dont think FN ever made a .45, but don't know for sure. If they did it was only experiemental.

I believe he tried to sell one design to Mr. Remington and was rejected. He thus to the Fabrique Nationale in Belge went and was successful.
If this is unclear please excuse me as my English is not yet perfected.
